Get To Know Us: Go-to comfort food or cozy drink for rituals/work

Magick isn't about the tools like candles, crystals... they are part of it but not THE THING.. WE are the MAGICK! YOU are the power behind the magick! So if anything we do can be magickal... comfort foods and cozy drinks are definitely part of the magick!

Today as the title of this blog suggests, you're getting to know us via our go to comfy foods or cozy drinks! Mine is Cafe Con Leche! Yes, my Cuban side is showing but its part of me and who I am and if ya didn't know, now you do! I'm Latina, first generation American! My mom was from Chile and my dad was from Cuba! So this first comfort drink is definitely Latin, however.. many will know it in English as a "Latte". The ingredients for how I make my Cafe Con Leche are: Cuban Cafe (e.g. espresso), Milk, Sugar and I like to sprinkle a little bit of cinnamon on top.

This tends to be a go-to drink for me when I'm stressing or I'm in need of that feeling of home and hugs.... and I can drink this at any time of the day because I don't have that "Caffeine keeps me up at night" syndrome. Okay, lets get to the magickal properties of the ingredients and you have an A HA moment! Coffee: grounding and fast-acting, it can act as a catalyst to speed up spells and intentions. It is associated with ALL of the four elements: Earth (the bean), Fire (the roasting process), Water (the brewing), and Air (the steam).

  • Protection and banishment: Coffee can be used to remove energetic blockages and banish nightmares.

  • Focus and clarity: The stimulating properties of coffee help clear the mind, sharpen focus, and increase mental energy.

  • Motivation: It is a powerful tool for boosting drive and speeding up the manifestation of intentions.

  • Divination: The practice of tasseomancy (reading coffee grounds) is used to gain insight into the future.

Milk: primarily associated with feminine and nurturing energies, symbolizing fertility, abundance, and comfort.

  • Nourishment and healing: In many traditions, milk symbolizes the fertility of the land and is used as an agent for healing and purification.

  • Abundance and prosperity: The richness of milk is tied to prosperity and is used in spells for attracting wealth.

  • Love and beauty: Milk is linked with goddess energy and is used in rituals for self-beautifying and attracting love.

  • Soothing and calming: Warm milk can be used in rituals for calming anxiety and promoting restful sleep.

Sugar: used as a potent attractor, drawing in desired outcomes and "sweetening" situations.

  • Attraction: As a magnet for positivity, sugar is used to attract love, happiness, and abundance.

  • Sweetening things up: Sugar can be used to bring sweetness and comfort to a situation or relationship.

  • Love: It is a powerful ingredient for attracting love and nurturing relationships.

Cinnamon: Known for its high-vibration energy, cinnamon is a potent and fast-working ingredient in magick.

  • Prosperity and success: Used to attract wealth, abundance, and success.

  • Protection: Creates a protective barrier against negative energy and is used for spiritual purification.

  • Love and passion: Its fiery energy is incorporated into love and lust spells.

  • Speed: Due to its fiery element, cinnamon can speed up the effects of any spell or ritual.

  • Healing: In herbal medicine, cinnamon is used to heal respiratory and digestive ailments and is known for its anti-inflammatory properties.

Did you have the "OOOOH that's why!!"

Debraliz is sharing her Comfy Soup's Hearthfire Renewal that’s what I call the soup my mom made for me when I was at my lowest point, unknowingly battling a life-threatening, undiagnosed illness. I was too weak to move from the couch, unable to keep food or water down, and so deep in the darkness that I didn’t want to live anymore. Through tears, I told my mom how unfair it was for her to see me like this. She hushed me gently, handed me a bowl, and simply said, “Eat this soup.”

It was a balm for my aching soul—warmth, comfort, and love distilled into a single act. The next day, the doctors finally discovered what was wrong.
